(Event-Specific Privacy Notice)

1. General Provisions

1.1 Scope of Application

This Privacy Notice (this “Notice”) is issued by MarcumAsia CPAs LLP (“MarcumAsia,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), with its principal office at Seven Penn Plaza Suite 830, New York, NY 10001, USA, represented by Drew Bernstein and Neil Pinchuk, and applies to the collection, use, disclosure, and management of personal information in connection with the Japan Go IPO Summit 2026 conference (the “Event”), to be held in Tokyo, Japan on September 16, 2026. This Notice applies to all individuals whose personal information is collected in connection with the Event, including attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and personnel of sponsor companies, regardless of where they are located.

1.2 Overseas Handling of Personal Information by MarcumAsia

As MarcumAsia CPAs LLP is established in the United States, any information collected in connection with the Event may be transferred to, and processed and stored at, MarcumAsia’s headquarters in the United States.

1.3 Relationship to MarcumAsia’s General Privacy Policy

MarcumAsia also maintains a general corporate privacy policy applicable to its website and services generally (available at marcumasia.com/privacy-policy). This Notice governs personal information collected in connection with the Event; MarcumAsia’s general privacy policy applies only to matters not addressed in this Notice.

1.4 Updates and Revisions

MarcumAsia may update or revise this Notice from time to time to reflect changes in applicable law, the Event’s data practices, or organizational structure. The most current version of this Notice will be made available on the Event website and, where required by applicable laws, material changes will be communicated to registered attendees via the email address provided at registration.


2.  Categories of Personal Information Collected

The categories of personal information collected may include:

          Registration details, including first and last name, work email address, company name, and job title

          Company background (for example, whether the company is a private company, a public company, or an investing or professional services firm)

          The name of the company or individual that invited or referred the attendee to the Event (“Invited By”), which may include personal information about a third party provided by the attendee

          Country and telephone number (where voluntarily provided)

          Responses to optional questions on the registration form (for example, topics the attendee would like addressed at the Event)

          Professional background information (for speakers) and photographic, video, or voice recordings captured at the Event

          Session attendance records and related correspondence


3. Purpose of Use

3.1 Speakers and Attendees

MarcumAsia uses personal information of speakers and attendees for the following purposes:

1.       Event registration processing, identity verification, and account administration

2.       Review of registration information (including company background and Invited By details) to curate the Event guest list and confirm eligibility to attend

3.       Production and distribution of name badges required for access to Event sessions and networking areas

4.       Communication of Event logistics, agenda updates, schedule changes, venue information, and other Event-related notices

5.       Publication of speaker biographies in Event materials and of the attendee roster on the Event website (accessible to other registered attendees)

6.       Provision of attendee contact information to sponsors that are entitled to receive such information pursuant to their sponsorship arrangements with MarcumAsia

7.       Post-Event follow-up communications, including satisfaction surveys, Event summaries, and information about future MarcumAsia events or services

8.       Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and legal obligations

9.       Any other purpose specified at the time of collection with the data subject’s consent

3.2 Sponsor Personnel

This section applies to individuals who provide their personal information to MarcumAsia in their capacity as representatives, employees, or agents of companies or organizations that sponsor, exhibit at, or partner with the Event (“Sponsor Personnel”).

MarcumAsia collects and uses business contact information of Sponsor Personnel for the following purposes:

          Administration of the sponsorship or exhibitor relationship, including contract management, invoicing, and logistics coordination

          Communication regarding sponsorship benefits, deliverables, booth arrangements, speaking opportunities, and Event logistics

          Provision of Event-related services (badge printing, Event website profile, access credentials)

          Listing of sponsor company names and, where agreed, representative names in Event materials (website, printed program, signage)

          Post-Event communications, including sponsorship satisfaction surveys, Event summaries, and information about future sponsorship or partnership opportunities

          Assessment of sponsor/exhibitor qualifications and suitability for future events (maintained in MarcumAsia’s internal database)

          Compliance with applicable laws and regulations


4. Photography and Video Recording

MarcumAsia and its authorized representatives will take photographs and record video in public areas of the Event, including session rooms, the exhibit hall, networking areas, and common spaces. These materials may be used in MarcumAsia’s social media, marketing materials, educational products, and publications, and may be distributed by third parties authorized by MarcumAsia.

Your image and voice may be captured during the Event. If you identify yourself by name during a recorded session (e.g., when asking a question), that identification may be included in published materials.

If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify Event staff at the registration desk, and MarcumAsia will use commercially reasonable efforts to accommodate your request. However, given the nature of a public conference environment, MarcumAsia cannot guarantee that incidental capture will not occur in group or wide-angle recordings.


5. Third-Party Provision

MarcumAsia will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the prior consent of the individual, except as required or permitted by applicable law — for example, where necessary to protect life, health, or property; where required by legal process; or where the recipient is acting as a service provider on MarcumAsia’s behalf. MarcumAsia engages third-party service providers to support the Event, including a cloud service provider (Network Solutions) that hosts the Event website through which registration, the agenda, speaker biographies, venue information, and the attendee roster are made available, as well as providers supporting MarcumAsia’s badge printing and event management systems. These service providers process personal information on MarcumAsia’s behalf and are subject to confidentiality and data protection obligations.

Having said that, by agreeing to this Notice (including at the time of Event registration), you consent to MarcumAsia providing personal information collected in connection with the Event to MarcumAsia group entities, including but not limited to MarcumAsia’s Japanese affiliate. You also consent to MarcumAsia providing certain personal information collected in connection with the Event regarding speakers and attendees to sponsors that are entitled to receive such information pursuant to their sponsorship arrangements with MarcumAsia.


6. Cross-Border Data Transfer

In connection with the Event, personal information may be transferred to, or provided to MarcumAsia group entities, certain sponsors, or other third parties located in Japan and other countries.

For the transfers to sponsors located outside Japan that are entitled to receive such information pursuant to their sponsorship arrangements with MarcumAsia, such countries include the United States, and by agreeing to this Notice (including at the time of Event registration), you consent to such transfer, storage, and processing of your personal information. You can access more details on the personal data protection regimes in the relevant jurisdictions on the website of the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan at: https://www.ppc.go.jp/enforcement/infoprovision/laws/ (available in Japanese). We understand that the recipients implement measures corresponding to all eight principles of the OECD Privacy Guidelines.

For other cross-border data transfers, MarcumAsia transfers personal information on the basis that the recipient has established a system that continuously implements measures conforming to the standards required under applicable Japanese law.


7. Security Control Measures

MarcumAsia takes the security of personal information seriously and implements reasonable and appropriate organizational, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include, without limitation:

          Organizational measures: Designation of personnel responsible for the management of personal information; establishment of internal rules and procedures for the handling of personal information; periodic training of employees and staff involved in Event data processing.

          Technical measures: Access controls and authentication for systems containing personal information; encryption of personal information in transit.

          Physical measures: Physical access restrictions to areas and equipment where personal information is stored or processed; secure disposal of physical media containing personal information.

          Third-party oversight: Selection of service providers that maintain appropriate data protection standards; contractual requirements for third parties handling personal information on MarcumAsia’s behalf.

 

MarcumAsia regularly reviews and updates its security measures in light of technological developments, changes in the threat landscape, and applicable regulatory requirements.


8. Your Privacy Rights; Complaints

Depending on applicable law, your privacy rights may include the ability to request:

          Notification of the purpose of use of your personal data

          Disclosure of your personal data

          Correction, addition, or deletion of your personal data

          Suspension of use, erasure, or suspension of further provision of your personal data, in certain circumstances

To exercise any of these rights, or if you have any complaints or other inquiries regarding MarcumAsia’s handling of your personal information in connection with the Event, please contact MarcumAsia using the details in Section 9. MarcumAsia will confirm the applicable process, including any documentation needed to verify your identity, upon receiving your request, and will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
